Important safety information for RaceBox

Warning: Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to RaceBox or other property. Read all the safety information below before using the product.

Handling

Handle RaceBox with care. It is made of plastic and has sensitive electronic components inside. RaceBox or its battery can be damaged if punctured, dropped, crushed, burned or if it comes in contact with some liquids. If you suspect RaceBox is damaged, discontinue use or RaceBox as it may cause overheating or injury.

Repairing

Don't open RaceBox and don't attempt repairs yourself. Disassembling RaceBox may damage it, cause loss of recorded data or cause injury to you. If RaceBox is damaged or malfunctions please contact RaceBox team for repair.

Battery

Don't attempt to replace the RaceBox battery yourself. Improper replacement or repair could damage it, cause overheating or injury. The battery must be recycled or disposed of separately from household waste. Don't incinerate the battery.

Distraction

Using RaceBox in some circumstances may distract you and might cause a dangerous situation. It is designed to be used while driving on a race track or a drag strip at high speeds. As safety precaution it is recommended to set it up before going out on the track and not operate it while already in motion. Drivers must maintain their focus on safety first and avoid being distracted by RaceBox.

Charging

Use only cables and adapters that are compliant with the applicable country regulations and international and regulatory safety standards, including the International Standard for Safety Information Technology Equipment (IEC 60950-1).

Using damaged cables or chargers, or charging when moisture is present, can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to RaceBox or other property. When charging make sure the cable is fully inserted into RaceBox and the charger. Keep RaceBox and the charger in well-ventilated area when in use or charging.

Prolonged heat exposure

RaceBox complies with applicable surface temperature standards and limits defined by the International Standard for Safety of Information Technology Equipment (IEC 60950-1). However, even within these limits, sustained contact with warm surfaces for long periods of time may cause discomfort or injury. Use common sense to avoid situations where your skin is in contact with a device, charger cable or its power adapter when it's operating or connected to a power source for long periods of time.

Medical device interference

RaceBox contains components and a WiFi radio that emit electromagnetic fields. They may interfere with medical devices, such as pacemakers. Consult your physician and medical device manufacturer for information specific to your medical device and whether it is safe to use RaceBox. If you suspect RaceBox interferes with your medical device, stop using RaceBox immediately.

High-consequence activities

This device is not intended for use where the failure of the device could lead to death, personal injury, or severe environmental or property damage.

Choking hazard

Some components (for example but not limited to bolts of the suction cup and the detachable USB Type C connector of the charging cable) may get loose and may present a choking hazard to small children. Keep RaceBox away from small children.

Radio frequency exposure and interference

RaceBox is designed, tested and manufactured to comply with governing radio frequency emissions and exposure. If you suspect RaceBox interferes with other electronic equipment you can try turning its WiFi off (go to Settings->WiFi and set to Off) or stop using RaceBox immediately.
